After living for over 60 years in her own home, my mother recently moved to Bluebird Estates. It was not an easy decision for her, and she has had so many self-doubts about whether she was making the right decision. Truth is, she was no longer safe in her own home. I am so pleased with the way she has been welcomed by all of the staff and residents at Bluebird. It is a gorgeous building (just 4 years old), perfect for someone like my mom who is surprisingly active and mentally fit for her age, but who deserves a rest from all the cooking, cleaning, and worry of keeping a house. I am so grateful to Macil, Daisy, Susan, Chef Bruce, Alecia, Phil and Marcos (staff members), as well as Mary Jane and Mike and Bev and the other Bev for making my mother feel like she is part of the family.
