I have enjoyed living at The Matisse. The building is very nice and my apartment is very comfortable. The staff is very pleasant and I have enjoyed knowing them all. My one concern is the current rent. It has become very expensive to live here, even though it is close to my work. I am finding myself having to find a new place to live.

I have been impressed with everything here so far. I feel safe in this community and appreciate how well they cater to OHSU employees/students. My only concern is that the gate to the parking garage never seems to be closed, which sort of defeats the purpose of a gate.

The location and staff are outstanding! Randi and Josh have been amazing to worth with the last few years. Always helpful and always friendly! We would appreciate more payment options when paying rent. Our main complaint is the consruction outside our windows, outside our bedroom window. They often lease very bright lights on overnight. The Matisse staff has no control over this, but it would be nice if a reduced deposit was offered to residents wanting to change units.

I have always loved The Matisse community. It's a place I truly feel I can call home. Incredible staff and apartments. Rent increases drive out people who I am grateful to call my neighbors. Please enforce non-smoking policies more strictly. Please control rent increases in an effort to sustain the community.

I love living at The Matisse. I feel genuinely cared for by everyone who works here and I feel the same for them. This is my home, it's beautiful and I feel safe here. Thak you for encouraging such a positive and caring community. Things I would love to see added to this community include: ability to pay rent on credit card, vending machine in South building, guest parking (or maybe ability to rent a space in weekly chunks to help when out of town guests visit.) The apartment managers and leasing staff are the most accommodating I have come across. We have had issues with the ventilation, and the staff made a good faith effort to fix the issue. The problem is the design and structure and results from using a vent that recirculates air back into the unit.

I do recommend changing the carpet before tenants move in if old tenants have had pets. A cleaning is not enough to get rid of odors pets have left behind. I also really dislike the AUM company charge on the utility bill. They have ridiculous fees (i.e. @20 late fee or $7.50 to pay with card.) I do plan on writing a review on Yelp addressing this utility company and The Matisse. Hopefully in the future The Matisse will choose another utility company or pressure AUM to do away with fees.

Overall, we are pretty satisfied with The Matisse and the services. The manager team is REALLY responsive and nice, we love them. However, there are small problems that we have encountered and hope they can be iproved. Door notices of charges should include details and reasons. There are still people smoking inside building and on their balconies. Lastly, this is not a problem, but we feel switching apartments doesn't mean renewing the lease. We were hoping to switch to a 1st floor apartment with a back door to the garden.

I am not a fan of AUM. Poor customer service and they charge you more for going to green billing (automated.)

Cheaper parking/don't limit to one car (or offer discounted monthly parking at local garages.) Light switches in apartment have a high failure rate. But, you guys are the best!!
