Randie has been THE BEST. We appreciate her attitude and helpfulness every time we need her. Give her a raise, seriously. She loves her job and it shows. Not too happy with the high sewer and water bill we receive each month. It's not anywhere close to other apartments and seems suspiciously high. I do believe the construction project next door, with constant water running into the sewer, should be investigated. Also, the company administrating the water/sewer bill has ridiculous billing and payment procedures. Again, NOT inline with other apartments we have had previously.

We have truly enjoyed living in The Matisse. The management is amazing. With newer complexes going in at the S. Waterfront, it will be important for rent prices to remain competitive. At the current rate, we may need to move to the complex across the street. The cleaning staff (woman) is wonderful! She keeps our complex clean and shiny. Overall, we are pleased with our experience at The Matisse and hope rent remains competitive.

Do more events and functions so we can meet neighbors.

No visitor parking, have to pay for parking on the street. Freight elevator doesn't always work. Sent 2 questions via email to the office and did not get a reply back. Was told that it was due to shortage of staffing.

When I first got to the building, I was so impressed with how clean the outside was and the building itself was beautiful. The Portland Trolley came right by the building and the location was very close to the water. I got buzzed into the building right away and was greeted with a smile. My leasing agent was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions thoroughly. I loved their sky lounge and all the amazing views that came with it. I also liked that they mentioned it was a smoke free area. The kept everything in the building very clean and I could tell they took pride in what they did.

The community was in a great location, amenities were outstanding, and shopping and restaurants were plentiful.

Only qualification is that it is very expensive

The management staff are wonderful, and very responsive.
I would not recommend only because the apartment is carpeted, one must like living with carpet.

I would not recommend this apartment based on the price of the apartment for how small of a space it is. However, the area is a safe and welcoming environment that I would recommend to anyone.

The location is less than ideal. Were necessities like groceries and/or a drugstore available in the neighborhood, it would be much better. A lack of grocery store within walking distance is my biggest mark against The Matisse.

I would because the price is right and the location is great.

Would: location to public transportation, neighborhood up and coming.
Would not: noise from person living above me. Can hear the elevator bell a lot.

My recommendation would be pretty subjective towards the persons needs. It would be a great place for some, but not for others.
